Never Show You Are Hurt

Never show you are hurt. (Or almost never - we all know
there are times when you should, especially if you need help.)
You know why? Because, then, your *hurt* is out there for
all to see.


Is that bad?


In a way. If you didn't show that you were hurt, no one
would know it. If someone knows you are hurt, then guess
what. It is reflected in their face, their actions, their reactions
to you -- PLUS, they tell others. So, there are more people
who know, who tell others. You will bear the brunt of their
reactions for some time down the road -- unless, of course,
you call them all up and *Hey, I'm not hurt anymore.* Even
if you did that, you wouldn't get everyone. Six months later,
you'll come in contact with someone that will say, *Hey, I
heard you were hurt.* That's human nature.


Once people know something is different about you, that you
are hurt, they react to that -- to you being hurt (or whatever).
Their reactions are very important.


What is it you want, or expect, when you tell someone you
are sick, upset, or that you lack in something? *I don't feel
good.* *I can't afford that.* *I don't like him/her.* *I don't
know how to do that.*


It's important to know which reactions you want, because if
the reaction you want is sympathy, that's probably what you
are going to get from the *help me, I'm hurt* syndrome. Why
would you want that? Does sympathy get you anything? Does
it help you get better? No. It might have when you were younger,
but now you are older, more in charge of your life. You don't
need sympathy anymore. You need to get well and stay well.
You don't need sympathy anymore. You need to make your
own *luck*. You don't need sympathy anymore. You need to
work things out on your own so that YOU will get stronger.


NOTE: I'm not saying don't tell the people that can help you.
If you are sick, go to a doctor. If you lack finances, only speak
about your finances to those who can give you good financial
advice. If you can't figure out a problem, only go to those that
can help you figure out your problem. If you go to anyone else
for help, anyone that can't help you, then you are spreading
yourself thin, so to speak. You are weakening your resources,
talking about something that isn't good, especially if you are
talking to people who can't help. It is like weakening your
immune system and reinforcing the problem.


Think about this for a moment. Do you want pity? Do you want
remorse? Do you want empathy? Or do you want support? If you
want the first three, talk about your problem to anyone who will
listen. However, talking about your problem to most of those
people will only reinforce what? Your PROBLEM.


Now, if your brain thinks in pictures -- which it does -- and the
picture you see or project is *hurt*, then you have to change the
picture. If you send out to the universe *hurt* by telling people,
then that's what the universe sends back. The more you talk
about whatever is hurting you, the more you are focusing on it,
the more you are encouraging the *hurt* to stay.


Some people think the more you talk about hurt, anger, lack,
the more you are handling it. That isn't true. The more you talk
about it -- whatever *it* is -- the more you attract *it*.
Remember this forever: The more you say something, the more
you think it, the more you attract it.


I'm not saying that if you don't talk about it, it will go away. I
am saying the more you talk or think about it, the more you
attract it. If you talk about it, you portray the *victim* persona.
You are not a victim when you take charge of your life.


One way to start taking charge of your life is to take time to
visualize every day. Visualize wellness spiritually, socially,
financially, physically, and emotionally. When your brain sees
wellness daily (by your visualizing), your body AND your life
have no choice but to respond to that picture.


Please. Make it a point to take charge of your life. Never show
you are hurt.
