Do You Get Sick Easily?
~ By Jan Tincher

Did you know that every thought in your mind affects your body? They are like building blocks, the more you think them the bigger they get in how they affect your life . . .

Visualize your body as being a mass of cells the size of teeny, tiny balls. (Of course we all know that cells are so tiny we can't see them, but for this illustration we need to have something to focus on.)

Now, when you have a thought, and it doesn't matter what it is, it affects your body. If it's a strong one it affects your body instantly.

To visualize this, take one cell out and set it on your hand. Think a good thought and see the cell *beam* with happy thoughts. Think a bad thought and see the cell shrivel. If your life is filled with good thoughts, your cells are all happy, healthy cells. If your life is filled with bad thoughts, well, you saw the cell shrivel. A shriveled cell is not a healthy cell. When you gather a good amount of unhealthy thoughts affecting your cells, how does that affect your body? Not good, right?

Why does this happen? What actually goes on?

Our thoughts go from our mind to our brain, and from our brain to our body. Our brain controls the nerves that go to every part of our body. A shocking experience has to first be experienced in our mind, which then sends pictures to our brain, which immediately translates the message to every cell in our body.

I'll say it again. Your thoughts (in your mind) affect every cell in your body (through your brain).

Let's say you have sad thoughts. Visualize your cells all shriveling just a little. How does that make you feel? Not so good? Why? Because if your cells are weak (in the process of shriveling or shriveled), your immune system is weak.

We are all in charge of our thoughts, so in this respect, we are all in charge of our health.

Do you get the flu at least once every winter? Do you *just know that you are going to get it* the minute a sniffle comes? You *know* the fever is next, etc.?

What would happen if you realized you had a sniffle, but you just got a Kleenex, blew your nose, and didn't give it another thought? Hard to believe, huh?

How about this? You have a sniffle, your mind thinks *Oh! I knew this would happen. I've got a big project coming up and I'm coming down with a cold! I hate it when that happens. I'll probably be off work again for a week again. That always happens when I get the flu.* Your brain picks up the message and sends it to the cells.

Hm. What in the world were you thinking? How did it affect your cells? Can you see them shriveling (weakening) already?

Now, I'm not saying you won't get the cold/flu if you don't say it/think it. And I'm not saying you won't get the cold/flu if you don't say it/think it.

I am saying that once you acknowledge it, you are starting the wheels in motion.

What would happen if you did just go get that Kleenex and blow your nose and be done with it?

(If you get the Kleenex, but still visualize the cold/flu or whatever coming on, do the Shatter! Technique found at http://www.tameyourbrain.com/shatter.htm and the Power Picture at http://www.tameyourbrain.com/powerpicture.htm .)

Treat illness like a puzzle. *What happens when I think this?* *What happens when I think that?* Find out how your mind works. Stay well by thinking well thoughts. Or get sicker by thinking sick thoughts. We have many options. Check them out.

Editor's note: I am not saying this works for everything, as that would be a blanket statement. I am saying that I have used this many times and it has worked tremendously.

Thank you for reading.
