Do
You Have An Empty Space In Your Heart? Copyright
© Jan Tincher - All Rights reserved Do you have an empty space in your heart because you've lost a child, parent, loved one? . . .
Do you have an empty space in your heart because your family, or a part of it, left you? Either they moved away or they refuse to acknowledge you and/or your needs. Do you have an empty space in your heart because you were adopted and you don't know your birth family? Many times when a person is adopted, they know little or nothing about their birth parents. They may or may not love their adopted family, but there is still that empty space. Everyone
reacts differently to a void in their life. Some
deal with it using anger, some with envy or jealousy,
some deal with it by having low self-esteem, and
feeling unloved. If this is you, or someone you know, realize that there is a way to ease the pain. The following techniques, used together, go a long way toward filling the empty space. First,
get rid of your negative thoughts about the past.
You can get rid of them by using the *Cancel,
cancel technique* whenever those thoughts come
up. "Decisions Determine Your Destiny"
is an article that has that technique. You will
find it here: http://www.tameyourbrain.com/decisionsdeterminedestiny.htm
If you have a hard time relaxing, bunch up your muscles, starting at your feet and go all the way to your facial muscles and just tighten them, then release them. Do that several times until you find your body responding and relaxing. Think only positive thoughts, because, simple as it may sound, when you think positive thoughts, you are not thinking negative, hurtful, thoughts. And that is very, very important. If we think negative, hurtful thoughts, we tend to be a negative, hurtful person, and that's exactly what we don't want to be when we are making this change. If the empty space in your heart is the result of being an orphan, sometimes there aren't loving memories of a mother and father and siblings. That emptiness needs to be filled. The hurt of being abandoned needs to be replaced with love. If you don't feel love for yourself, feel the love you feel for your talents or the love you feel for your new family if you have one or the love you feel for your hobby or work. Do whatever you can do to nurture that loving feeling in your heart, because you're the only one that can put it there. If you still can't feel love, just imagine what it would feel like or pretend you know what it feels like. Read *This Is My The Play, I Am The Director.* http://www.tameyourbrain.com/playdirector.htm So, after you have the relaxing part down pat, and are able to feel the love you have nurtured within yourself, now fill your fifteen minutes of relaxation time changing the negative memories you have and start pretending, or visualizing what it might have been like growing up with loving parents and siblings, and with you as a loving child. Continue to think of your *new* family with loving thoughts until the old thoughts are gone. Every negative instance you remember, change it to one you like. At night before you go to bed, feel the love you have nurtured in your heart. Then, feel that love flow from your heart to your parents and siblings, then to anyone else who has hurt you. Surround them with the white light of Divine Love. *There is an excellent prayer at http://www.tameyourbrain.com/goodthoughts.htm that talks about the white light of Divine Love. Scroll down as it's toward the bottom. Love
is a powerful healing technique. Use it in all
areas of your life. Thanks for reading, Jan P.S.
