Have You Generated What You Deserve?

Have you generated what you think you deserve? Many people haven't. They don't think they deserve the bad breaks they've experienced, but if they thought about it, they'd realize they did generate them . . .

You don't think so?

Our thoughts are little generators. If we think so-and-so's a "clod", that thought comes back to us and we judge others -- and ourselves -- by that same thought pattern.

If we think people get their "just desserts", that thought comes back to us, and if something bad happens to us, we generate the same thought. "I got my just desserts". We don't think our way out of it or around it, we just accept it because that's the way we are. Another way of putting it is, it's our way of accepting what we don't want. We use the excuse above, or something similar.

If we are overweight and go by a store window where models are wearing size 8 dresses or good looking shirts and pants in the smaller sizes, and we hate even walking by there because we "know" we'll never be that small, what kind of reaction do we have? That reaction, that thought pattern, comes back to us -- lots of times while we are eating. "I'll never fit into a size 8 anyway" we mumble as we fill our mouths with food that tastes good only for the moment.

If we are thinking (generating) negative thoughts about the very thing we want, those very thoughts are keeping the thing we want away from us. "I love that new car, but I know I'll never be able to afford it." Your brain is saying, "That's right. You'll never be able to afford it." Your brain only repeats what you have told it. How do you expect your brain to change if you don't? Read this article for ways to change: http://www.tameyourbrain.com/changebadhabits.htm

Unfortunately, we simply generate more of the same negative thoughts because we don't take the time to change them.

If you want your goals to come into fruition, you have to stop feeling negative feelings and generating negative thoughts when you see others having or enjoying that which you want most. If you aren't happy to see it regardless of who has it, you can't attract it. Think about this again: What thoughts are you generating?

If we want something, we need to generate good thoughts about it. At the very least, we need to be neutral when we think of it, so that we aren't pushing it away.

A great article that will help you with your thoughts is "Decisions Determine Your Destiny", and you can find it here: http://www.tameyourbrain.com/decisionsdeterminedestiny.htm

Remember, if we think good thoughts about what we want, those good thoughts bring it closer to us. You are always generating. Are you really generating what you deserve?

Jan
