When we feel the pressure build inside because we aren't getting things done, or we don't have enough money for presents, or whatever, that pressure has to go somewhere. And that *somewhere* is ALWAYS in the body. Learn how to let pressure out easily and effortlessly. [Editor's note: If you didn't read "Are You Constipated -- In The Mind?", click here.] . . . Another thing is, you need to realize is that if you are one of those people that say to yourself, *I get sick every Christmas*, guess what. You're gonna get sick. Count on it. So, one way to take care of your health issues this holiday season is to watch what you say to yourself. Nobody wants to get sick during the holidays. But guess what, that seems to be the norm for families where there is pressure. How about saying this instead? *I used to get sick every Christmas, but I don't think I will this Christmas.* Many times, if we feel prepared, that helps. How about if you say to yourself, *I'm taking my vitamins regularly now. By the time Christmas gets here, I'm going to have my immune system built up.* More thoughts that cause pressure are: *My house has to be perfect during the holidays.* Or, *I work two jobs and I have to make all the meals.* Or, *I got laid off. This Christmas is going to be lousy.* None of the above statements will get you anywhere but down. You do understand that, don't you? Don't give me *but that's my reality* stuff. We've all got our own realities, and I'm sure you understand, also, when I say, *I'm making my own reality.* You can, too. Change your reality by instead of thinking about the pressure, visualize the house just fine. If the thought of pressure keeps popping up, take charge and pop up the picture of the house looking just fine FASTER and LARGER. Instead of thinking about the harried part of working two jobs and fixing the meals, visualize having energy when you come home and the meals turning out delicious. If the negative thought keeps popping up, take charge and pop up the positive picture FASTER and LARGER. Instead of thinking about getting laid off and having a lousy Christmas, visualize a miraculous and happy Christmas. If the negative thought keeps popping up, take charge and pop up the positive picture FASTER and LARGER. You get the picture, don't you? If you don't want illness and depression to be a part of your holiday season, start changing your mind. Start thinking thoughts of good will and happiness. Don't let old thoughts ruin your holidays or your life. If you've got questions, feel free to email me. My email address is at the top of this web site. I care, so don't hesitate to write.
