Let us know how different techniques have worked for you!

You are right, since reading into your web page more in depth I have been trying to keep a more positive attitude about these situations. I printed some of your articles and discussed some of your ideas with her (girl friend) and suggested that some of our problems arent because of each other, but have been created by a negative attitude. I believe with a little effort and some understanding we will be able to work things out. The trust issue is going to take a while, but she is willing to help me work on it. Once again thank you for your interest in helping people identify and fix issues that would otherwise tear them apart.

Thanks again!

Jan,

I read a couple of weeks ago a technique you offered for reducing stress. I believe it was a three pronged question about what is causing the anxiety, CONTROL issues, etc. This realization helped me almost immediately relieve the tension when I asked myself "why I have to be in control of this particular situation." Thanks so much.

Jan,

Love the site and your wisdom. I see the main ingregant breaking “bad” and negative habits. Move them out and replace them with positive. It’s not a struggle out there if you believe in yourself and the positive; one must keep encouraging one self, as well as others, of this. Its rather simple, it’s like exercising in the gym, no one can do it for you, you have do it yourself on an ongoing basis.

Sincerely
Allen

Hello, Jan.

Excellent article -- How to Run Energy. I do this for myself and sometimes for others. I have been doing this since the 60s or 70s (I am now 55, have BA in psychology and all but thesis for MA in psych, with undergraduate minors in both english and journalism).

I have been reading your articles free in my emails for short time but you never disappoint me. I regularly use your emailed newsletters/teachings as one of my coping tools for the hard times I am going through.

I would love to own your books but have been unemployed for three years. however, I recommend you to everyone, now that I know you exist. I copy/paste some of your articles to others, with all the info to buy you/search your website, etc.

Good job. thank you.

Linda

Hi, Jan

I have been sharing my "Relationship Tips" with a Lady in New Jersey. We have been re-united via the Internet since May 28, we have a "history", & find that the old spark is still there!!! We have exchanged about 100 e-mails, & e-cards in the last 10 weeks!! I am planning to go East, to see my children, & grandchildren, & this Very Special Lady, for Thanksgiving. It's really TOO early yet, but we have actually talked about Marriage, Honeymoon, doing some Creative work together, & enjoying life with each other!!! Hallelueh! She makes my Heart sing!!! Thank You, & Blessings--Thomas A. McCall

Hello Jan,

This technique (Do People Bug You?) is creating amazing results . I have been reading /doing self improvement for 20 years and I rank this technique currently a top 3 !!!!

It is God working through us and that is The Deal. I have seen people change to : nice; completely opened up; loving and more . Keep up the good work and I will subscribe when my finances aren't quite so "interesting".

Like your article on healing. (Issue #136) A personal note of appreciation: I had to have an MRI scan last week.I have had claustrophobia since I can remember....and lasted 20 secs before pushing the panic button!
They said take some valium- which I did-but knew it wouldn't touch me- so adapted one of your NLP techniques. It worked a treat- despite having only 3 days tp prepare.

The radiographer was worried when I was slid out of the tunnel as I was so quiet."Are you OK she asked?" I said "Fine, but could you slide me back into the tunnel- it was fun in there"

All the best, and looking forward to reviewing your course,
Regards

Dear Jan,

I just want to thank you for your great newsletters. I have been subscribing for over a year, but it never crossed my mind that one day your articles would help me go through a dark period in my life.

You see, my husband, Richard, passed away on May 11th 2007 (Mothers Day this year). It was devastating because it was sudden and he was in perfect health. He had a heart attack, and it happened so quickly that we could not revive him.

I have read your past issues (which I filed) to find answers why this happened. He was only 48 yrs old and the future was really looking great for us. We have been married for 11 yrs, just celebrated our anniversary in February, and we have 4 beautiful children, aged from 6 to 101/2.

I am a Muslim. Richard was from England and he converted before we got married. Whatever faith we believe in, we all believe in God, and I find your newsletters are helping me a lot to get over my grief and get on with life as I have to bring up four young children on my own. I especially love your article on letting go. I cant tell you how much that has helped me.

Thank you again, and dont stop the good work. You dont realize how many lives you touched all over the world, regardless of faith, and race.

God bless you,

Yati Parkes

Dear Jan:

I liked your article very much as I too believe that you are who you create. And peace does start from within.

Thanks for the article. So far it looks to me like you are doing the people that read your articles a good brain cleansing. I'm sure you have and will continue to help many with your work. I believe the world would be a better place if people did not have to face so many inabitions within themselves. Because a lot of the world is fighting so hard to deffend their heritage, their feelings and even there decisions in life, only because they want people to except them and they feel like they are not living up to some standard that they set for themselves. So they end up angry and afraid all the time. Which in my opinion, has got to be one of the hardest ways to get through life there is.

I hope to read more good articles like that one, and I am sure I will learn something from each one I read from here on out.

Thanks again.
Cindy

Hi Jan!

Just wanted to let you know that this article was fun and useful. My handwriting is very close to a total copy of the old (late 50's) books that taught cursive strokes. In fact, mine also looked like my Mom's (which I used a couple of times for high school excuses!). I see your writing mainly in Tame Your Brain and Amazines but they pop up in other e-zines I get too. Keep on educating us.

Hi Jan,

I am forwarding this portion of your newsletter to my depression/suicide support group. [The article is *What Is Your Base?*]

Thank you, dear lady, for your helpful newsletters. I am sure that these are things that this group needs to hear, learn, and understand. It is a small change of perspective for some people, but is a major lifestyle change for some of my email friends who haven't the same perspective on life as most of us do.

Thanks for making a difference,
Roger Wilkerson

Hey-o Jan,

Yes, just got the full edition. Y'know, that "Cancel! Cancel!"
( http://www.tameyourbrain.com/decisionsdeterminedestiny.htm ) thing is so much better than an inarticulate scream and smacking oneself upside the head. It'll still draw odd looks from bystanders, though, so I'll take your advice and employ my vivid imagination.

Hi Jan!

Not only does this concept work with envy - but with everything in life. I imagine most of us *know* it to be true but it's so easy to get into the negative trap. I've been doing it too much lately and am definitely paying the price for it. I sometimes tell people that I feel like a fraud for what I write articles as I don't always practice what I preach. Thanks for a timely reminder and kick in the rear to not look at the negative or irritatiing stuff as that's what I get in return. [The article is *Envy Is Ignorance.*]

Dear Jan,

I have been suffreing from the phobias of every kind since 1965 or before. When I read your article on releasing one's emotions I have been impressed and felt that I can release my irrational emotions. Really I liked your approach. Thank you. Yasar

Jan,

I really enjoyed this issue of NLP Articles and especially the article about how children model their parents. As a reader and a long time Master Practitioner and Modeler, I wanted to share this link to an article of mine relating to a game for children and their sometimes overworked children. Let me know what you think. http://www.abilitynow.com/Playground/Exercises/firedrill.htm

What a lovely article [Living Hell, Are You Living It Or Giving It?] about the power of laughter combined with that all important well-formedness condition for outcomes, the ability to initiate and maintain the change yourself.

Best regards,
Mike

Jan~
Loved the article "Are you vulnerable?"
I think just picturing the other person in a hideous pair of pajamas is enough to just make me laugh off a nasty comment. I just hope it isn't "mean" to picture them like that!! [Editor's note:
As long as it is done in a "peace to all" feeling, it should be fine. In fact, it would help a lot if we all build that into every technique we learn.]

I appreciate this article because I've been working with the Sedona Method and it's been so helpful to me in my relationships and in my life in general. I especially am enjoying the tapes on the WANTS of life. Aren't they great? [Editor's note: Yes, they are! You can get a FREE Sedona tape by clicking "Sedona Method" on the left column!]

Also, I agree SO much with you on "claiming" something. It always strikes me when someone says "MY arthritis or MY diabetes or MY pills..." Sometimes I wonder if people LIKE to be sick! I truly believe that only claiming healthy and positive things makes our lives so much happier.

Thank you for all of your wise and thoughtful words. God Bless you, Jan!

Peace~

Great article "Deactivate Negative Triggers " Jan, and it couldn't have come at a better time for me, God truly works in mysterious ways and is always there to help us, smile. I was actually looking for a way to deactivate some old feelings that have popped up lately this sounds intriguing and very very helpful. I did it and I know with practice it will help me along my path, thank you so much for sharing this! Your wisdom is so welcome in my life.
Have a wonderful day! and ......

That story "So You Think You Have It Bad." made me think of how many times we believe the world is a bad place without realizing that we are the ones who clutter our own huts...

How true... Have a nice day!

Hi Jan,
Thanks for today's article in Tame Your Brain, "Do You Fear Rejection".   Recently I have returned to work after being off work for 9 and 1/2 months due to having a bad fall that caused me multiple injuries.  During the time I was off it was like a roller coaster, trying to recover from the pain of a broken arm and shoulder, my work contacting asking when I would return as they needed a replacement for me which they did with staff they had, but as well the indirect health problems that occurred due to the initial injuries.
. . .  your article has helped me gain some perspective on fear, something that was threatening to make me choose to settle for something less than I deserve.  Thank for helping me "Tame My Brain".
    Light and blessings to you,
    Catherine

Make My Day! by Jan Tincher is excellent!  As you say "What goes around comes around" reminds me of the poetry along these lines:  "Throw a pebble in the water......sends a thousand ripples.......which all come back to you".

Thanks for sharing and helping us all to be aware of making a difference in the world in a small, but big way.

I think the article "What Kind of Success Pictures Are You Making" was very good indeed.  A nice reminder to those of us that live with the philosophy of self fulfilling prophecies (What you believe to be true, will be true) and superb for the person that hasn't heard of either one.  People have a tendancy to forget the little tiny basics of life that would make their lives so much nicer to live.  You bring those basics to light and that's so important especially in this day of such high technology and science.  It's so very true.  We need to be told or remember that We are in control.  It is up to us to make things 'picture perfect'.  Your article showed us how tomake things successfully picture perfect.  Thank you so very much for this article and simplfying life.  Brightest Blessings Elizabeth

Your article "Living Hell" really touched my heart.  Although I'm divorced, I think couples having lost their connection
to each other might see this as a wake up call. You'll never know how many marriages you may save.

Sharing from our deep places of hurt always touches someone.  Thank you for your sharing.

Hi Jan,
I tweaked the shattering method a bit and included the other technique you sent me.  For shattering, I actually sat down at the keyboard, opened my paper and tuned in on what I was feeling. Then I walked over to my couch and pictured myself walking to the computer - turning it on - accessing my paper - and my associated feelings. Then I shattered away.
This seemed to work well. I then got up and did the exercise you sent me and immediately started writing. I pled insanity with my advisor and got a one week extension on my comp date. I've now finished 80% and have until the end of next week to wrap it up!
You really helped me Jan, thanks!!!!

Hi Jan:

I liked your 'Do You Gamble?' article. The theme of the article is as old as time. But you said it in a unique way that gave me a twist of the nose. Wholehearted giving has not been one of my strong suits in life. I've been working on it for years and still get blind-sided by the spirit of selfishness.

But the next time I have an opportunity to give, I'll remember the cake walk and try giving it my best.
Thanks for sharing.
Doug C.

Thank you for your feature article "Are You Depressed".  It was just what I needed to hear to pull me out of the pity pit I've been swimming around in.  I pushed myself to turn on some music, start dancing and before too long I was feeling better and having fun.  Lori

Hi Jan
If "Do You Have A Hard Time Trusting People?" was written 3 months ago maybe I could save my US$ 950 from a smart con man. I failed to listen to what was going on inside me. Now that I have the knowledge ....
Thank you

Hi Jan!

I really enjoyed your ezine today, especially the counting piece.  I can see myself using this simple technique in every day life.  I also like that I can simply and easily teach it to my children.
