Do You Have Stress During The Holidays?

Stress. Do you have a lot of it, especially during the holidays? Wouldn’t it be nice to eliminate as much stress as you can? . . .

Do you have stress? If you have stress, you need this!
"6 Short Weeks To A StressFree Life" ecourse now offers AUDIO! Now, with each session -- FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY -- audio is included FREE! Order here!

What is it that bothers you most about holidays?

The pressure of buying the right gifts?

Trying to accomplish too many things at once?

Are you expected to be here, there, and everywhere?

Are you worried about the money?

Do you know what 90% of the problem is? It’s how we think about the situation. Remember, nothing is good or bad, but thinking makes it so. Do you think that if you changed your thoughts, a large portion of the burden would be lifted? If you said yes, you’d be right.

Here’s one way to do that.

Hold out your dominant hand. If you are right-handed, it would be your right hand, if you are left-handed, it would be your left hand. But then, you knew that, didn’t you? Great! Let’s proceed.

I would like you to think about your most successful experience, an experience where you really felt terrific, very successful.

TIP: Remember, our brain does not know the difference between real and VIVIDLY imagined, so add a little vivid imagination with that. :)

That being the case, vividly imagine being even more successful than you remember. Then, put that experience in your dominant hand, and feel how good that feels. What color do you see? What sound is that making in your hand? What is the texture of it, the weight, the smell? What does it say?

Now, think of a time when you felt very loved. (Some of you may have a problem with that, and if you do, just imagine what it would feel like to be loved.) Put that experience in your dominant hand with the other, and feel how good that feels. What color do you see? What sound is that making in your hand? What is the texture of it, the weight, the smell? What does it say?

TIP: If you spend 15 minutes a day, 3 times a day, imagining how it feels to be loved and feeling the warmth of that experience in your heart, you’ll feel better, look better, and love better. And wouldn’t that make a great holiday present to yourself?

Put that experience of feeling loved in your dominant hand, also, and feel how good that feels. What color do you see? What sound is that making in your hand? What is the texture of it, the weight, the smell? What does it say? Feel the full experience of all those feelings in your hand, and now close your hand.

Now, think of that problem of the pressure of buying the right gifts, or trying to accomplish too many things at once, or being expected to be here, there, and everywhere, or being worried about the money, or whatever you’re own particular holiday pressure is. Put that experience in your other hand. Don’t feel the experience, just see it over there in your hand.

What color do you see? What sound is that making in your hand? What is the texture of it, the weight, the smell? What does it say?

Now, take all the feelings and sounds, etc. from your dominant hand and pour it into your other hand. Make funny noises as you do and just see what happens. Now, take the color from your other hand and pour it into your dominant hand. See the color change. Now, pour it back and forth one more time. Then, again. Now, put your hands together in a clap. Hold them together for a moment and feel what it feels like right now.

Now, open your hands. What color did they both come to be? What are your feelings? They should both be the same now and the feelings from the other hand should be neutral. If not, redo and add more noise and fun at the end.

Well, you should be feeling pretty good right now and able to go about your holiday with a different attitude. And doesn’t that feel terrific? Do you see how easy it is to reduce the stress in your life during these precious holidays?

Thank you for reading.

Jan
